Elevate

Elevate was a platform aimed at helping both fitness studios and their teachers. I designed everything from the logo, to the apps for studios and teachers, and all supporting graphics.

Background

While working at the Metaversal venture studio, I had the opportunity to design for several of their portfolio companies, including a new company, Elevate. Elevate was aimed at showcasing and rewarding the career achievements of fitness teachers based on verifiable data, while providing studios with an improved online presence and access to the best teachers in their area.

Design

For the logo, we went with my first draft concept, which was to adapt an "E" into a bold, abstract mountain to incorporate the elevation element and angles to make it feel dynamic and active. With an ambitious project timeline, there wasn't much time to spend on the logo or brand development, but I'm happy with the result.

The app for teachers was designed and handed off sequentially in coordination with the engineering team, from screens and flows for auth, onboarding, profile, rewards, achievements, and dashboard. For common UIs where it made sense to, I chose to use Google's open-source design system, Material Design 3, to help accelerate the design and dev time.

After the teacher app MVP, I designed for the achievement graphics. Starting with rough sketches, I then moved into Adobe Illustrator to design the vectors, and then finished off the designs in Adobe Photoshop while using linked Illustrator files to make followup adjustments simple.

Finally, I designed for the Elevate marketing landing page and the separate studio app. The studio app would support syncing data from the studio's management software, creating a comprehensive studio profile, and providing insights into studio teachers and other teachers for hire.
