Lumen is an organization that champions digital artists. They previously had two websites, and I explored how to combine them into one, along with providing fresh UI and interactive design inspired by their rebrand.

Background
While working at the Metaversal venture studio, I had the opportunity to design for several of their portfolio companies, including Lumen. Lumen is an organization that celebrates and awards technology-driven digital art.
Design
Lumen had recently received fresh branding by the brilliant designer and creative director, William Rech of Studio Rex. My role was to design a new website for Lumen, combining their two websites into one and designing new UI inspired by their rebrand.
With light being a central part of Lumen's brand, I enjoyed bringing expressions of light and illumination into the UI, playing with the contrast of light against the darkness, all while staying true to the brand color palette.
My absolute favorite part of the design work was implementing the interactive light-bending gradient effects to be used for some backgrounds and the primary buttons. Beyond the incorporation of light, it also felt a perfect fit for Lumen to use elements in their UI system that combined creativity and technology.
